The has emerged as the highest-ranked university in the Republic of Niger in the 2026 (THE) Impact Rankings.

According to the latest rankings, MAAUN Niger is ranked first in Niger Republic, 14th among Africa's private universities, and placed within the 801–1000 global band, reflecting the institution's growing international reputation for academic excellence, research, and sustainable development.

The ranking represents a major milestone for higher education in Niger Republic, positioning the country more prominently on the global academic map through its inclusion in one of the world's most respected university ranking systems.

The recognition further strengthens MAAUN Niger's reputation as one of West Africa's leading bilingual universities, noted for its commitment to innovation, human capital development, and impactful scholarship.

Over the years, the university has made significant contributions to professional training, particularly in the health sciences. Through its Colleges of Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing Sciences, Public Health, and other allied health programmes, the institution has produced thousands of skilled professionals who are contributing to healthcare delivery within Niger Republic and in other parts of the world.

Its graduates currently serve in hospitals, research institutions, diagnostic laboratories, public health agencies, and healthcare organisations, helping to strengthen health systems and improve access to quality healthcare services.

He added that the university's inclusion in the 2026 THE Impact Rankings reflects its sustained investment in quality education, healthcare training, research, and sustainable development, while reinforcing its position as an emerging centre of excellence in higher education in Africa.

The latest ranking is expected to further enhance MAAUN Niger's reputation as a leading institution in the region, particularly in health sciences education, research, and the advancement of sustainable development initiatives.
