The Chairman of Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Hon. Muhammad Shehu Molash, has paid a courtesy visit to the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology (NILEST), Dr. Auwal Mustapha Imam, FNIP, at the Institute's headquarters.
According to a statement issued by the Director-General's Media Office on Monday, the visit was aimed at familiarising the Soba Local Government Chairman with the Institute's activities, particularly its achievements in leather production and related technologies.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Molash said he visited the Institute alongside members of his team to gain first-hand knowledge of its operations and innovations in leather production.

The statement added that the Director-General, Dr. Auwal Mustapha Imam, presented several pairs of locally manufactured leather shoes produced by NILEST to the Council Chairman as souvenirs, showcasing the Institute's commitment to promoting indigenous leather products and advancing local manufacturing.
The visit also afforded the Soba Local Government delegation the opportunity to interact with the Institute and learn more about its contributions to the development of Nigeria's leather and leather products industry.
