A United Kingdom-based scholar of the Tijjaniyya Order, Sheikh Mustafa Briggs, has paid a courtesy visit to Tazkiya University, Zaria, where he delivered a lecture on unity, brotherhood, and the values of peaceful coexistence among Muslims.

Speaking during the visit, Sheikh Briggs emphasized the importance of love, mutual respect, and harmony within the Muslim Ummah, urging Muslims to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and work collectively for the progress of the faith.

He also spoke on the exalted status of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his noble Companions, stressing the need for Muslims to emulate their exemplary character, devotion, and unwavering commitment to Islam.

The scholar highlighted the immense sacrifices made by the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his Companions in preserving the Holy Qur'an and spreading the message of Islam across the world. He urged Muslims to draw inspiration from their dedication and remain steadfast in serving the religion.

Sheikh Briggs explained that he was in Nigeria to deliver a series of educational lectures in Kaduna State and took the opportunity to visit Tazkiya University.

He commended the university's management, led by the Vice-Chancellor, as well as members of the academic staff, for their commitment to the growth and development of the institution. He also prayed for Allah's continued guidance and blessings upon the university, its leadership, staff, and students.

Addressing the students, the visiting scholar encouraged them to be worthy ambassadors of the institution by upholding good character, demonstrating integrity, and applying the knowledge they have acquired for the benefit of society.

The event was held at the university's main conference hall, located near the Police Barracks in Cikaji, Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Faruq Sarkin-Fada; the Registrar, Alhaji Bashir Abubakar; and the Founder of the university, Professor Ibrahim Ahmed Makari.

The visit concluded in an atmosphere of peace, mutual understanding, and goodwill, with participants expressing appreciation for the scholar's inspiring message.
