Zaria Online Journalists Forum (ZOJF) commiserated with LEADERSHIP Newspaper over the death of its head of Translation, Malam Sabo Ahmed Kafin-Maiyaki.
Sabo died on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the age of 54 after a protracted illness. He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
According to a statement from his family, Malam Sabo is survived by two wives, 10 children, and a brother.
In its condolence message signed by the Chairman of the forum, Ammar Muhammad Rajab sent to LEADERSHIP Hausa, the vernacular newspaper from the stables of LEADERSHIP Newspapers Group in Abuja and issued to newsmen in Kaduna, described the death as shocking and devastating.
“On behalf of my family, members of Zaria Online Journalists Forum, I wish to express our deepest condolences to families, LEADERSHIP Newspapers Group over the sudden death of its staff,” the forum said in the condolence message.
While commiserating with the families, relatives, and friends of the deceased, the forum prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive all his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
He also prayed to the Almighty Allah to give the families, and relatives of the deceased the emotional strength to bear the huge loss.
