Staff of the Federal University of Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina State staged a protest in response to the deteriorating security situation that endangers their lives.
The demonstrators called on the government and security agencies to ensure the protection of their lives, families, and property.
The protest occurred on the morning of Thursday, July 4, 2024, on the university campus in Dutsinma, within the Dutsinma local government area of Katsina State.
This demonstration followed a violent attack two days earlier by armed assailants on the residence of a lecturer at FUDMA, located in the Lowcost area of Yarima Quarters, around 1:30 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
