The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Ningi Local Government, Hon. Abdulmumini Hassan, has accused the People's Democratic Party (PDP) of rigging the local government election.
Speaking to journalists in Ningi, Hon. Abdulmumini Hassan raised serious concerns, claiming that irregularities had marred the election process even before the official results were announced.
Among the alleged irregularities were the assault of an APC agent, illegal voting in favor of the PDP, the appointment of PDP members as electoral officers, and the concealment of election materials in certain wards within Ningi.
He further claimed that election materials had not yet been delivered to about seven wards, all considered APC strongholds, due to concerns about the potential outcomes in those areas.
According to Hon. Abdulmumini Hassan, the election should be considered null and void, and he urged relevant authorities to disregard the results.
He also accused the Bauchi State Governor of being apprehensive about the election's outcome and using various tactics to manipulate the process.
In a video obtained by Wikkitimes, underage children were seen casting votes for PDP candidates at polling units in Senior Primary School, Maciya, and Kofar AAY in Ningi Ward.
Furthermore, at Bunusai Ningi East Polling Unit, only PDP supporters were observed illegally voting for the party.
Meanwhile, voting has already concluded in many polling units across Ningi.
