Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has congratulated the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council, Comrade Abu Nmodu, and other officials on their reelection to lead the Union for the next three years.
In a congratulatory message delivered through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Farmer Governor praised the reelection of Comrade Nmodu and his team, noting that it reflects the exceptional teamwork and collective vision of the executive members for the continued growth and development of the Union.
He acknowledged the unprecedented progress and development the Union has experienced during the first tenure of Comrade Nmodu's administration.
The Farmer Governor urged the Chairman and his team to redouble their efforts in serving the Union's members, consolidating the gains achieved so far, and taking deliberate steps to eliminate quacks within the profession, which would help address the challenges of fake news.
He reminded the executives and members of the NUJ Niger State Council of their crucial role in society and emphasized the need for objectivity in their reportage, especially as they are critical stakeholders in his administration's New Niger Agenda.
The Farmer Governor also reassured the Union of his administration's unwavering support, pointing out that the already existing cordial relationship between the State government and the Union would be further strengthened for more mutually beneficial outcomes.
