The Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has extended warm felicitations to Christians on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.

In a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri highlighted that Christmas, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, signifies hope and salvation for a world in need of redemption.

The Governor, in his Christmas message, emphasized the importance of embracing the values and virtues exemplified by the holy birth of Christ, particularly love for one another. He expressed optimism that the world could become a better place if these principles were faithfully practiced.

“It is with great joy that I send you this message of goodwill and warm greetings during this Christmas season,” the Governor stated.

“Christmas is a time of rejoicing as Christians all over the world commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is an important season in the Christian faith—a time for hope and for celebrating the profound teachings of Jesus: Love your neighbor as yourself, and do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Governor Fintiri further urged Christians to reflect on the true essence of the season. “Christmas is also a time for reflection and renewal of conviction. During this season, we should re-examine our commitment to the Christian faith and re-dedicate ourselves to building a fresh and meaningful relationship with God,” he said.

The Governor reminded citizens that the true spirit of Christmas is encapsulated in peace, love, and goodwill toward all.

Acknowledging the economic challenges facing the country, Governor Fintiri called for collective support and resilience. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ongoing progress and assured citizens that "the best is yet to come."

“My vision for Adamawa State is centered on repositioning the state and taking it to greater heights,” he said, reiterating his dedication to inclusivity and development. “No one will be left behind, and nothing will be left untouched.”

Governor Fintiri also noted that recent developments in the state are aimed at strengthening social cohesion and enhancing the dignity and pride of its citizens. “Our efforts are focused on conferring greater dignity and pride upon our people,” he added.

As Christians celebrate the season, the Governor urged everyone to remember the essence of unity and kindness, underscoring the need for collective action to build a better society.
