"Indeed, from Allah we come, and to Him we shall return."

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State is mourning the loss of his beloved mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar.

This sad news was disclosed in a press release issued by Malam Hamisu Gumel, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.

The statement reads: "With deepest sorrow and profound sadness, we announce the passing of the Governor’s dear mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar. She departed this world in the early hours of Wednesday, December 25, 2024."

In accordance with Islamic traditions, her burial rites will take place today at 4:30 PM in her hometown of Kafin Hausa.

The Governor and his family have requested prayers for the repose of her soul. They pray that Allah, in His infinite mercy, grants her eternal rest in Jannah and comforts the family during this difficult time.
