Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has called on Christians to embrace humility, forgiveness, and genuine love during this Christmas season, emphasizing these values as the core essence of the celebration.
In a Christmas and New Year message released by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago highlighted that the season provides an opportunity for sober reflection on God’s faithfulness to humanity and for fostering positive change in society.
“Christmas is a time to demonstrate genuine love and humility,” the Governor stated, urging Christians in Niger State and beyond to extend kindness to all, irrespective of differences.
While congratulating Christians on the occasion, Governor Bago also appealed to residents to pray fervently for the peace and prosperity of Niger State and Nigeria as a whole.
He further advised residents to remain vigilant during the festivities and to promptly report any suspicious activities or individuals to the appropriate security agencies.
Looking ahead to the New Year, Governor Bago encouraged the people to deepen their faith in God and nurture harmonious relationships with one another.
Reiterating his commitment to the New Niger agenda, Governor Bago assured citizens of his administration’s unwavering dedication to improving their socio-economic well-being.
