The Executive Director of the Lake Chad Research Institute (LCRI), Professor Baba Gana Kabir, has called on Nigerians to foster unity and eliminate religious, ethnic, and political divisions.
In his Christmas and New Year message, Prof. Kabir emphasized the importance of collective efforts to address security challenges and other developmental issues facing the nation.
He expressed concern over the persistent strife, tension, mutual suspicion, and destruction of lives and property, stating that such actions undermine Nigeria's progress.
Prof. Kabir urged all citizens to rededicate themselves to the service of God, the nation, and humanity. He encouraged Nigerians to reflect on their relationships with both God and their fellow citizens, emphasizing the importance of compassion and mutual respect.
He further called on Christians and all Nigerians to commit to religious harmony and peaceful coexistence, asserting that these values are the foundation for national progress and prosperity.
The LCRI Executive Director concluded by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, urging citizens to embrace unity and work towards a better future for the country.
