His Royal Highness, Etsu Nupe, Dr. Yahaya Abubakar, has urged the community to continue praying for the success of the government and to remain hopeful for positive outcomes.

The Etsu Nupe made this appeal during the conclusion of the 12th Maulud celebration of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) in Katcha town. Represented by Sheshi Katcha, Alhaji Baba Umar Adamu (Daudu), the event took place at the palace grounds of Sheshi Katcha in Katcha town.

Etsu Nupe emphasized that the state government’s developmental plans align with the Wadata Palace's objectives in Bida town to revive agriculture and animal husbandry in the region.

He called on the youth to actively pursue self-employment opportunities, particularly in farming, which he described as a sustainable path to eradicating hunger, reducing unemployment, and fostering economic growth.

"As God has blessed us with fertile lands and abundant resources, we must shun laziness and embrace hard work. This will lead to unexpected progress. As parents and guardians of the nation, it is our duty to instil the importance of self-reliance in our youth. This will curb greed, envy, and unnecessary dependence on others," he said.

The Etsu Nupe further noted that with the completion of the harvest season, the focus should shift to dry-season farming. He commended the efforts of the state’s leadership under Governor Umar Mohammed Bago, stating that the state is now on a path of renewed progress.

"For the past eight years, we have experienced conflicts, but God has restored peace in our region through unity and community support. I urge community leaders, traditional rulers, politicians, and experts to ensure peace prevails," he added.

The Etsu Nupe also lauded the Tijjaniya Islamic community in Katcha town for their dedication to fostering unity among Muslims through their annual Maulud celebrations. These activities include the recitation of Diwani, Zikir, and procession, which honour the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

He concluded by encouraging traditional rulers within his emirate to persist in their efforts to promote unity and peace across their domains.
