Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has announced the passing of his beloved son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi, in a tragic car accident.
The fatal incident occurred on Thursday, December 26, 2024, along the Dutse-Kafin-Hausa Road. Abdulwahab, aged 24, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
In a statement expressing deep sorrow and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, the governor said, "To Allah belongs that which He has taken, and to Him belongs that which He has given. Everything has an appointed time with Him."
The burial rites were held in Kafin Hausa town in accordance with Islamic traditions.
The late Abdulwahab is survived by his parents and siblings. Governor Namadi and his family have received an outpouring of condolences from the public as they mourn this devastating loss.
