The Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful, determined, and confident that the year 2025 will bring positive change.
Governor Idris made this appeal in his New Year message to the people of Kebbi State on Wednesday as they ushered in the new year.
He urged citizens to view 2025 as a year of economic revival, emphasizing that collective support and cooperation are vital to achieving this goal.
The governor also encouraged Nigerians to pray for their leaders, both collectively and individually, to enable them to address the nation’s challenges effectively.
“As we step into the new year, let us remain hopeful, prayerful, and determined to contribute to the development of our dear nation. As good citizens of Nigeria, we should consistently pray for our leaders to be granted the wisdom to guide the country forward.
“If Nigeria prospers, it benefits all of us. Similarly, when the nation struggles, every citizen is affected,” he said.
Governor Idris also called on individuals who have taken up arms against the country to embrace peace.
“We have no other country but Nigeria. We must, therefore, commit to ensuring peace and harmony,” he added.
While congratulating Nigerians on witnessing a new year, Governor Idris urged them to support government policies and programs to ensure the delivery of more democratic dividends across the nation.
