The Adamawa State Police Command of the Nigerian Police Force has decorated 110 newly promoted officers with their new ranks. The ceremony, held on Tuesday at the Police Officers Mess in Yola, attracted a large crowd.
The Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, officiated the decoration of the officers, including 84 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), who were elevated to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
In his remarks, CP Dankombo congratulated the officers on their promotions and urged them to remain committed and dedicated to their duties. He emphasized the importance of professionalism and called on the officers to redouble their efforts in maintaining safety and security in Adamawa State.
“This promotion is a recognition of your hard work. You must now rise to the challenges of your new roles and continue to serve the public with excellence,” Dankombo said.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Numan, CSP Alfred Futuwe, expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Police Service Commission, and the Force Management Team for recognizing their efforts. He also thanked the CP for officiating the decoration ceremony.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Member representing Yola North Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, the Chief Judge of Adamawa State, the Chairmen of Song, Numan, Yola North, and Ganye local government councils, representatives of sister security agencies, traditional rulers, and religious leaders.
