The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially appointed Max Air as the designated airline for transporting Kano State pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj.
This decision was confirmed by the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, following a stakeholders' meeting and the signing of an agreement with airlines at NAHCON Headquarters in Abuja.
According to a press statement issued by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, the airlift of intending pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia is set to commence on May 6, 2025.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u expressed satisfaction with the extensive preparations for the pilgrimage and assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for the pilgrims. He also urged those who have not yet submitted their international passports to do so before the deadline to avoid any delays.
The board reassured Kano State pilgrims of a seamless experience both at home and abroad. The selection of Max Air, it stated, reflects NAHCON’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and comfort for all pilgrims embarking on this sacred journey.
