The Zazzau Emirate has called on Christians across Nigeria to reflect on the resurrection of Jesus Christ and rededicate themselves to living in peace, unity, and the love of God.
Delivering the Easter message on behalf of the Emirate, the Marafan Yamman Zazzau, Alhaji Mustapha Adamu Ubaidullah, urged Nigerians not to lose faith in God despite the growing challenges facing various states across the federation.
He emphasized the need for peace to prevail, stressing that peace and unity are essential for the progress and development of the nation.
Alhaji Ubaidullah condemned the increasing cases of killings, banditry, and kidnappings in the country, noting that Nigerians must take responsibility and work towards ending these vices before seeking divine intervention.
He also reminded those in positions of leadership to govern with a sense of accountability, as they will not remain in office forever.
“The feast of Easter lies at the heart of our Christian faith. At the start of our forty-day Lenten journey, through the mark of ashes in the sign of the cross, we were reminded that, as humans, we will die. Yes, everyone will die, sooner or later. Nevertheless, because of Christ's resurrection, death no longer has any claim upon us.
“We know that God has the ultimate say. His Word for us is the same as His Word for Jesus Christ, who was crucified, died, was laid in the tomb, and resurrected. He lives—and therefore, we do. We live in Him,” he concluded.
