Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has called on citizens to reflect on the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and embrace the spirit of selflessness, compassion, and love for one another.

In his Eid-el-Kabir message conveyed by his media aide, Mukhtar Gidado on Thursday, Governor Mohammed highlighted the festival’s symbolism of sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and faith.

He urged residents to use the occasion to strengthen peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and unity, regardless of religious, ethnic, or political differences.

The Governor Bala extended his warmest greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the people of Bauchi State and all Nigerians, particularly the Muslim Ummah, on the blessed occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

He emphasised the importance of unity and collective responsibility, stating, "Bauchi is our shared home, and the progress and stability of our state depend on our collective commitment to peace and brotherhood."

"As we celebrate, let us remember to be our brothers’ keepers. Let us extend hands of kindness to the less privileged, promote understanding among ourselves, and work together to build a society grounded in justice, equity, and harmony," he added.

Governor Mohammed also reaffirmed his administration's dedication to good governance, citizen welfare, and a secure, prosperous future for Bauchi State.

He then prayed for Allah’s continued blessings, protection, and guidance, and wished the Muslim Ummah a joyous, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir.
