A member of the House of Representatives representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Aminu Sani Jaji, has purchased 3,000 rams for distribution to residents of Zamfara State, particularly supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
According to a statement signed by Aliyu Abubakar MC, Chairman of the Jaji Coordinating Committee in Zamfara State, the lawmaker—who also serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Ecological Funds—has earmarked ₦350 million for distribution to orphans, vulnerable groups, and other deserving individuals across the state as part of his Sallah welfare package.
The gesture is aimed at supporting Muslim faithful, especially APC members and underprivileged families, to enable them to perform the sacrificial rites and celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir in a joyous mood.
Beneficiaries include prominent personalities in the state, various categories of former political appointees, APC state executives, local government and ward executives, APC elders, former Directors-General, former local government chairmen, vice chairmen, councillors, party stakeholders, and members of different APC-affiliated associations.
Others include Islamic scholars, state executives of the Jajiyya Political Movement, Jajiyya political associations across the state, orphans, APC supporters, youth groups, and women’s organizations.
The breakdown of the ₦300 million cash donation by Hon. Dr. Jaji shows that beneficiaries also include former political office holders, Islamic scholars, Qur’anic reciters, and ward executives of the Jajiyya Political Movement across the 14 local government areas and 147 political wards in the state.
Dr. Jaji stated that his constituents in Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji will receive a special package consisting of both rams and cash.
He explained that the Sallah welfare initiative is part of his annual commitment to ease the financial burden of Muslims during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations and to uplift their spirits.
Hon. Jaji also called on Muslim faithful to utilize the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah and the Eid-el-Kabir period to intensify prayers for lasting peace and stability in Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole.
