In the formative years of Nigeria’s democracy, the Wase Federal Constituency struggled to receive the dividends many had hoped democracy would bring. Despite our enthusiasm and mass participation in elections, the leadership of that era failed to deliver on the promises of progress, ease, and tranquillity. Our collective expectations were dashed, and the hope we placed in the democratic process felt betrayed.
However, the year 2007 became a pivotal moment in our journey, a year of true emancipation. That year, we resolved to challenge the status quo. With unity and determination, we marched to the polling units, not just to vote, but to demand change. And by the grace of the Almighty, we succeeded.
The emergence of Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, after the 2007 elections, marked a new dawn. Hon. Wase brought wisdom, compassion, and vision to leadership from the onset. He tackled long-standing issues with clarity and urgency, restoring faith in the idea that democracy is meant to serve the people. His leadership showed that government can be a force for good, one that uplifts communities and empowers the most vulnerable through access to quality education and essential services.
Our support for Hon. Wase is not rooted in sentiment, but in results. His enduring commitment to the development of Wase Federal Constituency and the upliftment of our people has been evident in every step he has taken in office.
As constituents, our journey from darkness to light reminds us that real leadership is not about titles, but about service. And for that, we remain grateful.
