As the All Progressives Congress (APC) begins its search for a new National Chairman, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has emerged as a leading candidate, recognized for his strategic vision, inclusive leadership style, and extensive experience in governance and party politics.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the APC National Youth Ambassadors, Engr. Kabiru AbdulHamid, the group emphasized that Senator Al-Makura's track record positions him as the ideal leader to steer the party toward unity and electoral success.

The statement noted that Al-Makura's eight-year tenure as Governor of Nasarawa State showcased his competence in managing complex governance challenges, engaging diverse constituencies, and navigating Nigeria’s dynamic political landscape.

“Senator Al-Makura’s ability to interact with key stakeholders — from traditional rulers to youth groups — makes him a unifying figure capable of rallying the APC’s broad and diverse membership,” the group said.

The Youth Ambassadors further highlighted Al-Makura’s reputation as a consensus builder and bridge-maker within political circles. His bipartisan respect, rooted in his governance style and community-focused development efforts, has enabled him to gain credibility across party lines.
