Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has approved the appointment of Abubakar Jafar Ilela (Wakilin Sadarwan Bauchi) as his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on public enlightenment.
A statement from Government House Bauchi on Wednesday, said that the appointment aligns with the Governor’s commitment to strengthening strategic public communication and enhancing engagement with the people of Bauchi State through transparent, timely and inclusive information dissemination.
The statement signed by the governor's media, Mukhtar Gidado, described Abubakar Jafar Ilela, as a seasoned public relations practitioner and grassroots mobilizer. He is expected to bring his wealth experience in public affairs, civic education, and strategic enlightenment campaigns to the administration.
"Jafar's track record of service and dedication has earned him recognition as a passionate advocate for good governance and citizen participation," Gidado said.
Governor Bala Mohammed expressed full confidence in Mr. Ilela's capacity to deliver on this important assignment, urging him to bring to bear his experience, loyalty and sense of duty in advancing the administration's agenda.
Governor Bala also called on all stakeholders, particularly media practitioners and community leaders, to support the new appointee in the discharge of his duties.
He urged Jafar Ilela to justify the confidence reposed in him by upholding the tenants truth, hand work and accountability.
