The Bauchi State Government has intensified its drive to attract investors and unlock the state’s vast economic opportunities with a high-profile Economic and Investment Summit Road Show held on Thursday at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

In a statement issued on Friday by Governor Bala Mohammed’s media aide, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, the event was described as part of a nationwide sensitization and mobilization campaign ahead of the Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit scheduled for October 2025.

Speaking at the Lagos Road Show, Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Aminu Hammayo, alongside a high-powered delegation of commissioners, special advisers, senior officials, and the President of the Bauchi State Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted Bauchi as Nigeria's next investment frontier.

He outlined the state’s enormous potentials across key sectors such as agriculture, solid minerals, tourism, manufacturing, housing, ICT, and renewable energy.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to positioning Bauchi as a leading investment hub in Nigeria, anchored on transparency, inclusiveness, and a conducive business environment.

Governor Bala assured prospective investors of strong government support in the areas of policy stability, infrastructure, and security, emphasizing that Bauchi offers sustainable returns on investment.

The road show drew an impressive audience of business leaders, investors, and financial institutions, including the Canadian Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Carlos Abulu Rojas, and Ambassador Bolaji Akinremi of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both commended Bauchi State for bringing its investment message directly to Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital.

A major highlight of the event was an interactive session where participants engaged with government representatives, examined viable sectors, and expressed strong interest in forging partnerships. Business leaders applauded Bauchi’s rich endowments, from its vast arable land and mineral resources to its cultural heritage and dynamic youth population, describing them as solid foundations for profitable collaborations.

The Bauchi delegation also extended an invitation to stakeholders to attend the October 2025 Bauchi Economic and Investment Summit, where concrete agreements and partnerships are expected to be formalized.

With the resounding success of the Lagos Road Show, Bauchi State has reinforced its image as a state open for business, determined to convert its natural and human resources into prosperity for its people and development partners.
