Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), has commended security agencies for their gallant efforts in tackling crime and maintaining law and order across the state.
The governor gave the commendation on Tuesday while addressing journalists shortly after a state security meeting held at the Government House chamber in Birnin Kebbi.
“We are pleased with the manner in which security agencies are handling security matters across the state. Their tireless efforts have undoubtedly led to a reduction in criminal activities,” Governor Idris said.
He assured that his administration will continue to support security agencies to enable them to effectively discharge their constitutional responsibilities, stressing that his ultimate goal is to make Kebbi a crime-free state.
While acknowledging the vital role of security personnel in sustaining peace and stability, the governor noted that recent security challenges in parts of Kebbi South and Kebbi North have been brought under control.
It will be recalled that Governor Idris previously procured and distributed numerous patrol vehicles to security agencies operating in the state, aimed at boosting their morale and easing logistical constraints.
