A prominent political figure and staunch supporter of Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani, Hajiya Zulaihat Yunusa, popularly known as Ms. Nuhu Dan Bala KTA, has commended the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, for what she described as his outstanding leadership and performance in both political and administrative spheres.
Speaking to journalists in Zaria, Zulaihat described Hon. Sadiq as a compassionate leader and a father figure to the underprivileged and orphans across Kaduna State. She particularly praised his efforts in empowering women and supporting the youth, noting that his initiatives have given many families a renewed sense of hope and self-reliance.
"Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos is wiping the tears of women in Kaduna State by providing them with economic opportunities. He is compassionate towards the youth and always attentive to the concerns of the people, whether day or night," she said.
She noted that the developmental strides witnessed in Kaduna South Local Government Area could be largely attributed to the commissioner’s unwavering commitment to public service. According to her, his dedication has been instrumental in facilitating growth and progress in the region.
Zulaihat also highlighted the role of Hon. Raiyanu Husaini, describing her as another trusted and hardworking appointee of Governor Uba Sani. She emphasized that both officials reflect the governor’s commitment to appointing individuals who are genuinely passionate about public service and community development.
She further acknowledged the impact of the Uba Sani Support Group under the leadership of Hon. Sadiq, pointing out that the group has been active in delivering essential support to communities across the state, especially in areas related to health, education, and youth empowerment.
Reflecting on the recent by-election in Basawa Ward, Zulaihat revealed that Hon. Sadiq played a crucial role in ensuring a peaceful and successful outcome. She recounted how his swift intervention helped de-escalate tensions and restore order during a sensitive moment in the electoral process.
"When the situation in the Basawa constituency began to deteriorate during the by-election, we reached out to Hon. Sadiq. He listened patiently and responded swiftly, providing the necessary support that led to a peaceful resolution," she recalled.
In her closing remarks, Zulaihat expressed her gratitude to Governor Uba Sani and Commissioner Sadiq Mamman Lagos for their efforts in creating opportunities for women and youths in Kaduna State. She offered prayers for their continued success and called for greater support for their administration.
