The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS), Professor Yahuza Sulaiman Imam, has called on Muslims to uphold the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) by promoting peaceful coexistence, compassion, and love for one another.
He made the call in his Eid-el-Maulud message, as Muslims across the globe mark the birth of the Prophet on the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal.
Professor Imam emphasised that a peaceful and progressive society can only be achieved through genuine adherence to the values and lifestyle exemplified by the Holy Prophet (SAW).
“Peace, unity, and social progress are rooted in the Prophet’s teachings. We must embody these values in our daily lives,” he said.
He urged Muslims to be peacemakers in their communities and to embrace entrepreneurship and the pursuit of knowledge as pathways to self-reliance and socio-economic development.
According to him, the Maulud celebration serves as a timely reminder for the Ummah to reawaken their sense of responsibility and remain committed to the Prophet’s message.
Professor Imam also encouraged Muslims to practice forgiveness, tolerance, and charity—virtues strongly emphasised in the Prophet’s teachings.
He further called for unity among Muslims, urging them to set aside sectarian differences and focus on sincere worship and service to Allah for the greater good of humanity.
“Let us remember that our strength lies in unity, love, and obedience to Allah as taught by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW),” he added.
