The HSK Charitable Foundation has visited the Bauchi State Remand Home, extending humanitarian assistance and moral support to the inmates as part of its ongoing efforts to uplift the less privileged and vulnerable members of society.
Guided by its core mission to bring relief and hope to the destitute, orphans, and marginalised groups, the Foundation—under the leadership of its Executive Chairperson, Hajiya Sa’adatu Shuaibu—distributed essential items, including soaps and detergents, to the juveniles at the facility.
During the visit, Hajiya Sa’adatu offered words of encouragement and moral counsel to the young inmates, urging them to embrace positive change and reintegrate as responsible members of society.
The Secretary of the Foundation, Abdullahi Idris, who disclosed the visit to the media, said the outreach was part of the organization’s commitment to addressing social exclusion and restoring dignity to neglected populations.
While welcoming the delegation, the head of the remand home conducted the team through various sections of the facility, facilitating a deeper understanding and engagement.
Several speakers commended HSK Foundation for its impactful intervention and called on stakeholders to support its charitable missions. The Foundation also used the opportunity to appeal for greater support to remand homes across the country.
In her remarks, Hajiya Sa’adatu emphasised the importance of humanitarian initiatives, including educational support and scholarships for the underprivileged, calling on government at all levels to partner with NGOs through the provision of relief materials in both cash and kind.
“It is always essential to visit places like this and offer support. Our aim is to inspire hope, encourage reform, and promote inclusion,” she stated.
She concluded by expressing appreciation to the management of the remand home for their cooperation and support during the visit.
