The Arewa Youth Congress (AYC) has expressed strong support for the nomination of Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as Honourable Minister representing Plateau State, describing the decision as a victory for merit, character, and compassion in national leadership.
Speaking in Kaduna, the Speaker of the Arewa Youth Congress (AYC), Amb. Hassan Sadau, commended President Tinubu for identifying a servant-leader whose track record in humanitarian service and community development has touched countless lives.
“Dr. Doro’s nomination is not politics as usual — it’s a signal that genuine service and moral integrity still matter in governance,” Amb. Sadau said. “He is a man whose compassion has built bridges across communities, and whose leadership has consistently brought hope to those who feel forgotten.”
Amb. Sadau noted that Dr. Doro’s humanitarian credentials extend far beyond titles or offices. Through initiatives such as the Doro Vision Farmers’ Seed Fund, he has supported hundreds of local farmers in Plateau State to recover from losses, improve their yields, and regain financial stability. He has also mentored young professionals across Nigeria and the diaspora, inspiring a new generation of socially responsible leaders.
“Dr. Doro has proven that leadership is not about occupying a position — it is about being present for people,” the Speaker added. “He listens, he acts, and he gives. That is the kind of leadership our youth must learn from.”
The Arewa Youth Congress is calling on the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to expedite the confirmation of Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro’s nomination, describing him as a rare blend of competence, humility, and humanity.
“At a time when our nation is rebuilding faith in leadership, the Senate must confirm him without delay,” Amb. Sadau urged. “Dr. Doro represents the spirit of the Renewed Hope Agenda — a commitment to serve with compassion and deliver results that matter.”
Amb. Sadau reaffirmed the readiness of the Arewa Youth Congress to collaborate with Dr. Doro on programs that advance youth development, social inclusion, and regional stability.
“AYC sees in Dr. Doro a role model who reminds us that leadership is first about empathy,” he said. “We stand ready to support his vision and partner on initiatives that will strengthen the hopes and livelihoods of young Nigerians, especially across Northern communities.”
The Speaker concluded by commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for making a nomination that truly reflects the spirit of Renewed Hope and the future of purposeful governance.
