The Federation of Muslim Women Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic attack on innocent schoolgirls in Maga, Kebbi State. In a press statement issued by National Amirah Dr. Sumaye Fadimatu Hamza and signed by National Publicity Secretary Hauwa Kulu Abdullahi, the association extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, praying that Allah in His infinite mercy grants them eternal rest in Jannatul Firdausi and comforts their families.
FOMWAN also expressed solidarity with the families of the missing girls, praying for their safe and immediate return. The association called on security agencies to intensify efforts to protect children, stressing that no child should ever be exposed to violence and that schools must remain safe spaces for learning and growth.
The statement urged government authorities, community leaders, and all stakeholders to strengthen measures that safeguard children and prevent future attacks. FOMWAN reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for the safety, rights, and well-being of Nigerian children, praying that Allah continues to protect the nation and its young ones.
