The Director-General of the Bauchi State Vigilante and Youth Empowerment Agency, Malam Umar Aliyu Shayi, has called on all conventional and non-conventional security agencies in the state to intensify strategic and coordinated efforts in the fight against terrorism and other criminal activities.
The Director-General made the call through his media aide, Abdullahi Idris, during the 2026 New Year celebration in Bauchi.
He urged all stakeholders to sustain their support for the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed, noting that effective collaboration remains critical to the successful implementation of good governance and security initiatives in the state.
According to him, Governor Bala Mohammed has continued to provide strong support to all security agencies through intelligence sharing, logistics, and coordination in the fight against terrorism, banditry, cattle rustling, phone snatching, and other criminal activities.
Dr Shayi noted that under the current administration, Bauchi State has been rated among the most peaceful states in Nigeria, with significant improvement in the safety of lives and property across the state.
In a related development, the Director-General expressed appreciation to the Governor Bala Mohammed–led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration as the state ushered in the 2026 New Year.
He said the achievements recorded so far reflect the governor’s passion, selflessness, and commitment to building a greater Bauchi State that accommodates all citizens, regardless of political affiliation, ethnic background, or religious belief.
As part of the New Year celebration, Dr Shayi wished all officers and personnel of the Bauchi State Vigilante and Youth Empowerment Agency a happy and prosperous 2026.
