The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Zamfara Sector Command, has deployed 538 personnel ahead of the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Sector Public Education Officer, SRC Isah Aliyu, and made available to journalists in Gusau.
According to the statement, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Aliyu Ma’aji, disclosed that the personnel—comprising both regular officers and Special Marshals—have been strategically deployed across the state.
He added that the deployment includes 21 operational vehicles, three life-support ambulances, and one light tow truck to ensure effective coverage during the festive period.
The Sector Commander charged the personnel to maintain a high level of discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
The Command also stated that, in collaboration with other security agencies, it has intensified traffic control measures and public sensitisation to guarantee smooth and hitch-free vehicular movement during and after the celebrations.
He urged road users, stakeholders, and visitors to obey traffic rules and cooperate with security personnel to ensure the safety of all road users.
Ma’aji further reiterated the Command’s commitment to providing adequate safety measures and ensuring a peaceful and secure environment throughout the Sallah period.
