A political analyst, Malam Babangida Inuwa Jibril, has commended the President of the 9th Senate and Senator representing Yobe North, Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, for what he described as exemplary representation and commitment to national service.

In a statement issued on Monday, Babangida Inuwa said Senator Lawan’s tenure has been characterised by active legislative engagement, advocacy for economic development policies, and the facilitation of projects aimed at improving infrastructure, education, and healthcare across Yobe North Senatorial District.

According to him, Senator Lawan has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the mandate entrusted to him by the people through quality representation and sustained contributions to national development.

“Senator Ahmed Lawan has demonstrated uncommon dedication to the mandate entrusted to him by the people. His contributions on the floor of the Senate and his role in advancing legislative processes that benefit Nigerians reflect a deep understanding of public service,” the statement said.

The political commentator also acknowledged the senator’s efforts toward promoting peace, unity, and stability in the North-East, describing his leadership as instrumental in giving the region a strong voice at the national level.

Babangida further commended the long-serving lawmaker for accepting the recent consensus reached by the Yobe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other party stakeholders regarding the governorship candidature in the state.

He called on constituents to continue supporting Senator Lawan’s political efforts and aspirations toward returning to the National Assembly, noting that his experience and leadership remain vital to advancing policies that address the needs of the people and promote national progress.
