The State Working Committee (SWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State has suspended its State Assistant Woman Leader, Sayyada Amina Shehu, for six months pending further determination.
A release signed by the APC State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Musa D. Sarkinkaji, stated that the State Working Committee, under the chairmanship of Hon. Aminu Musa Bobi, revealed that her suspension resulted from alleged involvement in political appointment racketeering.
The assistant woman leader's suspension is in line with Article 21, Subsection (5) xii of the APC Constitution 2022 as amended.
The party has set up a five-member committee, led by the State Deputy Chairman, Hon. Zakariyau Umar Raba, to investigate the matter and provide findings.
The State Party Chairman, Hon. Aminu Musa Bobi, vowed that any party executive or member found guilty would be decisively dealt with in accordance with the party constitution.
