A Member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Aminu Sani Jaji, has purchased three thousand rams for distribution to people, especially supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
In a statement signed by the Jaji Coordinating Committee, Aliyu Abubakar MC informed newsmen in Gusau.
Similarly, the lawmaker, who also serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Ecological Fund, earmarked the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (₦250,000,000) for distribution to deserving individuals, orphans, and vulnerable groups across the state as Eid-el-Kabir welfare packages.
The gesture aims to assist Muslim faithful, especially APC members and less privileged families, in performing sacrifices and celebrating the Eid-el-Kabir festival in a joyous mood.
The beneficiaries include prominent personalities in the state, various categories of former political appointees, APC State Executives, Local Government and Ward Executives of the party, State APC Elders, the Former Directors General Forum, former Local Government Councils Chairmen and Vice Chairmen, Councillors Forum, as well as various categories of APC associations and other party stakeholders.
Other beneficiaries include Islamic scholars in the state, state executives of the Jajiyya Political Movement, orphans, APC supporters, youth and women groups, among others.
Meanwhile, the breakdown of the beneficiaries of the ₦250 million donated by Hon. Dr. Aminu Sani Jaji includes former political office holders across the state, Islamic scholars, and Qur'anic reciters at the state, local government, and ward levels of the Jajiyya Political Movement.
The gesture will also be extended to various APC stakeholders across the 147 political wards in the 14 local government areas of the state.
According to Aminu Sani Jaji, his constituents of Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji will receive a special package of both rams and cash.
The lawmaker explained that the Sallah welfare package was part of his annual gesture to uplift the spirits and alleviate the financial burden of Muslims in the state during the Sallah festival.
Hon. Aminu Jaji called on Muslim faithful to use the 10 Days of Zulhijjah and the Eid-el-Kabir period to intensify prayers for sustainable peace and stability in the state and the country as a whole.
