Governor Uba Sani has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming Kaduna State, stating that he intends to leave it better than he met it. To achieve this, his government is executing projects in critical sectors such as education, health, and agriculture.

The governor also highlighted the progress of the state's Rural Transformation Programme, noting that his administration has initiated over 78 road projects across Kaduna State since assuming office. He emphasized that these projects are advancing smoothly, with contractors receiving adequate funding to meet deadlines. His primary goal, he said, is to connect local communities to enhance both social and economic benefits.

Governor Sani made these remarks during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction and upgrading of Zaria township roads. The project includes the reconstruction of the Magajiya Junction to Kasuwan Amaru road, with a link to the Unguwan Liman/Albarkawa road intersection, as well as the Audi to Kako roads in Zaria Local Government Area.

"Once completed, these roads will serve a significant portion of Zaria’s population, particularly the urban poor. The project will create job opportunities, boost commercial activities, and improve security within the city and its surroundings," he assured.

He further stressed the importance of Zaria to the state’s development, stating that the groundbreaking event was "yet another demonstration of our firm commitment to constructing new road networks, as well as expanding, repairing, and maintaining existing roads to ease transportation and enhance business activities across the state."

Speaking specifically about the Audi to Kako road, Governor Sani noted that it connects predominantly farming communities. He reiterated his administration's dedication to accelerating development by extending infrastructure to all local government areas.

"We are committed to supporting our communities in achieving rapid economic growth, addressing infrastructure deficits, curbing rural-urban migration, and improving the overall quality of life for our people," he added.

Earlier in the event, the Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad, expressed gratitude to the governor for his developmental initiatives in the area. He pledged the continued support of Zaria residents for the Uba Sani-led administration and assured that they would increase their votes for him in the next election.

Also speaking, the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, welcomed Governor Sani back home, acknowledging him as a “son of the soil.” As Chairman of the Kaduna State Council of Chiefs, the Emir commended the governor for executing development projects across the state.
