The lawmaker representing Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mansur Manu Soro, has commenced feeding of 78,300 persons across the 22 federal wards of the constituency during this year’s Ramadan fasting period.
A statement issued by his media aide, Aleeyu Darazo, stated that the distribution of food items to ward headquarters commenced on the first day of Ramadan in designated 27 mosques.
According to him, the plan is to provide 2,700 people daily with meals from 27 different mosques, offering rice, kunu, pure water, and other food items to support fasting Muslims in the constituency.
Darazo noted that this initiative builds on the success of last year’s Ramadan feeding program sponsored by Mansur Manu Soro, which received commendation from beneficiaries and community leaders.
"Rep. MMS wishes to call on the various committees of the 27 participating mosques to give their maximum cooperation for the success of the program," the statement added.
He further reaffirmed the lawmaker’s commitment to humanitarian initiatives, urging community leaders and volunteers to ensure smooth and transparent implementation for the benefit of all.
