In a heartfelt tribute to Nigerian Air Force personnel combating insurgency in the North-East, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has praised the courage and commitment of troops during a morale-boosting visit to the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Addressing officers and airmen on the frontline, Air Marshal Abubakar declared, “Your sacrifices are etched in the history of this nation and in the hearts of millions of Nigerians who sleep safer because of your vigilance.”
He emphasized that the bravery, resilience, and dedication of the troops have not gone unnoticed. His visit, characterized by personal interactions and engagement with personnel, underscored his appreciation for their service and the critical role of airpower in neutralizing threats and safeguarding communities.
Commanders briefed the CAS on recent operational successes, highlighting the strategic impact of precision air strikes and close air support in the ongoing counter-insurgency operations.
Reaffirming the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to sustaining superiority in the battlespace, the CAS pledged continued investment in cutting-edge technologies and equipment to enhance the capabilities of frontline units.
