In a major boost to Nasarawa State’s economic development, the Dangote Group has announced its sponsorship of the 2025 Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition (NASTFE), which officially opens this Wednesday in Lafia, the state capital.

The fair is being organized in collaboration with the Nasarawa State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI) and the Nasarawa State Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industries.

Chairman of NASSI in the state, Nidan Sambo Manasseh, revealed that Governor Abdullahi Sule will formally declare the fair open. He emphasized that the event is designed to promote investment and foster industrial growth in line with the state government’s economic agenda.

“The Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition is a vital catalyst for the state’s economic transformation,” Manasseh stated. “This strategic initiative aligns directly with Governor Abdullahi Alhaji Sule’s vision to stimulate investment and unlock significant growth.”

This year’s fair carries the theme: “Investing in Nasarawa’s Future: Fostering Economic Development Through Mineral and Agricultural Cottage Industrialization.”

A statement by the Dangote Group’s Chief Branding and Communication Officer, Anthony Chiejina, reaffirmed the company's commitment to Nasarawa State, describing it as central to the group’s investment strategy in Nigeria.

“Nasarawa State is home to Dangote’s Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited (NSCL),” the statement said. “When completed, the sugar project will rank among the largest sugar investments on the African continent.”

Also speaking on the partnership, Senior Special Adviser to the Dangote Group President, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, stressed the group’s dedication to the fair, adding that several of the company’s Strategic Business Units (SBUs) will actively participate.

Among the participating SBUs are Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN), Dangote SinoTruck, Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Salt (NASCON), and Dangote Cement, among others.

Mrs. Abdurrahman highlighted that the trade fair offers the Dangote Group a platform to engage with stakeholders and potential business partners. She also announced that a special Help Desk will be established to handle inquiries and collect feedback from participants.

“We encourage everyone to visit our pavilion and take advantage of our innovative products and services,” she said.
