Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called on Dangote Industries Limited to expand its investments across various sectors of the state's economy.

Speaking at the ongoing Nasarawa Trade Fair and Exhibition, the governor—represented by Hon. Muhammed Sani Otto, Commissioner for Trade, Industry, and Investment—highlighted the state’s rich deposits of solid minerals. He said a strategic partnership between the state and the Dangote Group would accelerate Nigeria’s industrialization agenda.

Hon. Otto commended the conglomerate for its achievements at the Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited (NSCL), expressing confidence that the company's track record makes it a valuable partner for future investment opportunities in the state.

During the event's Dangote Special Day, the Chairman of the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Nasarawa State Chapter, Mr. Nidan Sambo Manasseh, described the fair—sponsored by the Dangote Group—as highly impactful.

He urged the company to expand its presence in the state by exploring additional sectors.

“The Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition (NASTFE) is a vital catalyst for the state’s economic transformation,” he said. “This initiative by NASSI directly aligns with Governor Abdullahi Sule’s vision to stimulate investment and unlock significant growth.”

Also speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment, Hajiya Khadija Oshafu Nuhu, reiterated that Nasarawa is strategically positioned and open for business. She emphasized that the Dangote Group stands to benefit from the vast opportunities available in the state.

In a statement, Dangote Group’s Chief Branding and Communication Officer, Anthony Chiejina, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to Nasarawa.

“Nasarawa State is central to our overall investment strategy in Nigeria,” the statement read. “It is home to Dangote’s Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited (NSCL). Once completed, the sugar project will be one of the largest of its kind in Africa.”

The statement also quoted the Senior Special Adviser to the President of the Dangote Group, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, who emphasized the company’s commitment to the partnership.

“We are not taking this collaboration for granted. Several of our Strategic Business Units (SBUs) are participating,” she said.

She listed participating units as Dangote Fertilizer Limited (DFL), Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN), Dangote Sinotruk, Dangote Sugar Refinery, NASCON (Dangote Salt), and Dangote Cement Plc.
