The Chairman of Fulani Sai Bago Again/Fulani Youth Development Initiative, Ambassador Dr. Mujahid Adam (popularly known as Ardo Yobbi), has stated that his organization has no issue with any Fulani Ardo or group leader—except those who have turned the “charge and bail” system into a business venture.

Ardo Yobbi made this known while addressing journalists about the upcoming seminar being organized by his group to sensitize herders and farmers on the importance of insurance registration. The event is scheduled to hold on Thursday, October 9, at the conference hall of the Federal Government Secretariat in Minna.

According to him, “Any leader who sees this move as a threat is simply not being honest. In less than a month since the establishment of this organization, we have done what other organizations that have existed for decades have failed to do.”

He explained that the initiative has provided health and educational support to Fulani children and extended assistance to Fulani communities facing challenges—ranging from health crises to conflict with neighboring communities—without collecting a single naira from them.

“We are now sensitizing Fulani herders on the importance of obtaining voter cards, maintaining peaceful coexistence with their neighbors, obeying laws and regulations, and more. If these efforts are seen as a threat, then something is wrong somewhere,” he added.

Speaking on political matters, Ardo Yobbi revealed that he was among those who were promised a commissioner position when Governor Umaru Bago won the election. Though he was not appointed, he said many of the policies being implemented by his organization today are drawn from the same ideas they intended to pursue if he had been given the position.

“Since God did not give us that opportunity, we took it upon ourselves to implement these policies through this organization. We are doing so with our own resources, without seeking external funding, and in line with the vision of Governor Umaru Bago,” he said.

On the purpose of the upcoming seminar, he explained that it aligns with the state government’s plan to introduce a compensation scheme for herders, though the specific details of the policy are still unclear.

“We believe that insurance registration will help reduce government spending. When someone registers for insurance, any time disaster strikes their livestock or property, they can easily access compensation through their insurance coverage,” he noted.

He urged herders and farmers to attend the free seminar, where they will also receive a certificate of participation, which can support them in future insurance registration and legal matters as provided for by the constitution.

“We are also training our Fulani herdsmen to avoid illegal settlements, poaching, and unlawful practices. There are courts and legal systems in place—anyone who has been wronged should seek justice through legal means, not by resorting to corrupt intermediaries. That path only leads to greater loss,” Ardo Yobbi stressed.

He concluded by calling on Fulani communities and all citizens of Niger State to support Governor Umaru Bago, describing him as a brother and a divine blessing for the people of the state.
