Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has been commended for increasing the salaries of health workers and upgrading hospitals across the state. The commendation was made by the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board, Prof. Bello Jamoh, during a stakeholders’ meeting in Kaduna.

Prof. Jamoh noted that the governor has revitalised the healthcare sector through extensive renovation of hospitals, provision of modern medical equipment, and improved welfare for health workers. He said the governor’s commitment to modernising healthcare facilities and enhancing staff well-being has contributed significantly to improving access and quality of healthcare services in the state.

He explained that the recent salary increase for health workers would strengthen the sector, boost staff morale and inspire greater dedication, especially in the fight against child-killer diseases. The Executive Secretary also commended the ongoing supply of essential drugs to clinics and hospitals, stressing that it would further enhance healthcare delivery.

Prof. Jamoh lauded the efforts of the Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) for registering citizens into the state health scheme and empowering women with preventive health measures. He urged health workers to remain committed to their duties by being punctual and dedicated to delivering quality services.

He encouraged residents to take advantage of the numerous primary healthcare centres within their communities to access timely medical attention. Prof. Jamoh reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Primary Health Care Board to ensuring accessible and quality healthcare services across Kaduna State.
