Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has congratulated Saratu Mohammed, a survivor of the Essa Tanker explosion, on the safe delivery of her baby boy.
Through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor described the news of her delivery as a source of joy and a reminder of Allah’s mercy and wonders, which are beyond human comprehension.
“The case of Saratu Mohammed is a testament to Allah’s awesomeness and greatness,” the governor said. “He can do all things and make the impossible possible. This child is undoubtedly a child of destiny and will always remind his parents and all of us of Allah’s mercy and faithfulness.”
Governor Bago also encouraged Saratu and her family to raise the child in the fear of Allah so that he may fulfill his purpose on earth. He prayed for her continued strength and recovery from both the injuries of the tanker explosion and the rigors of childbirth.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting Saratu and other surviving victims who are still receiving medical treatment.
Saratu Mohammed was among the victims transferred to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH) for intensive medical care after the Essa tanker explosion several months ago. She delivered her baby boy at the UATH on January 1, 2026, marking a joyful start to the new year.
