MAAUN Group of Universities has congratulated Prof. Muhammad Sanusi Magaji on his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Kabo (FUSTK), Kano State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement on Friday, the Founder of the universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo described the appointment as “well deserved” considering his wealth of experience and academic pedigree.
Prior to his new appointment, Prof. Magaji was the pioneer Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Kabo before it was converted into the Federal University of Science and Technology, by the Federal Government. He was also the former acting President of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Kano.
“On behalf of MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to congratulate Prof. Magaji on his appointment as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of FUSTK,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
He described Prof. Magaji as a distinguished scholar who is committed to promoting education, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver on his mandate by promoting research and innovation for academic excellence.
He expressed optimism that the new VC who served in various academic and administrative capacities, would bring about the needed transformation and development in the university.
Prof. Gwarzo prayed to almighty Allah to guide and give the new VC the wisdom and strength to steer the university to greater heights.
