A delegation from Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria has formally conveyed a Toyota Hilux vehicle donated by the Founder, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, to the office of the Vice Chancellor of Northwest University, Kano, Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero.

The delegation, led by the MAAUN President, Prof (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, included the Vice President Administration, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar; the Senate Member, Dr Nura Yaro, and Hayatuddeen M. Abdallah of the Corporate Communications Unit.

The team was warmly received on arrival by the NWUK Vice Chancellor and members of the university's management.

The handover fulfilled a promise made by Prof. Gwarzo during a recent courtesy visit by the NWUK management to him in Abuja, where he pledged to donate an official vehicle to the Vice Chancellor's office.

Presenting the vehicle on behalf of the Founder, the MAAUN President said the gesture was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two institutions and enhancing administrative efficiency.

He reaffirmed Professor Gwarzo's commitment to supporting higher education through strategic partnerships.

Receiving the vehicle, Prof. Bayero thanked Prof. Gwarzo for fulfilling his promise and described the donation as another demonstration of his generosity and dedication to educational development.

She recalled that Prof Gwarzo had earlier donated a luxurious bus and provided other support to NWUK.

The Vice Chancellor further disclosed that Professor Gwarzo had pledged to support NWUK in accessing international grants and other opportunities to advance research, teaching and institutional development.

Also speaking, the Registrar of NWUK said the visit had opened new opportunities for collaboration, including the possible establishment of a joint academic and research centre.

He prayed for Allah's continued blessings upon Professor Gwarzo and the entire MAAUN family, while the Bursar described the vehicle as a valuable contribution that would enhance the university's administrative operations.
