Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has approved the immediate dissolution of all 50 Development Area Administrators across the state.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, who described the move as a significant administrative decision.
Following the directive, the outgoing administrators are expected to hand over all official documents, property, and responsibilities to the most senior civil servants in their respective development areas.
Governor Fintiri expressed appreciation for the outgoing administrators, acknowledging their dedication and describing them as “great motivators” who played vital roles in driving grassroots development.
“I commend the Development Area Administrators for their tireless efforts in stimulating development at the grassroots level. Their support has been instrumental to the successes recorded in our state,” the governor said.
He wished them well in their future endeavors and reaffirmed his administration’s continued commitment to the welfare and development of the people of Adamawa State.
The Governor's Office assured that necessary guidance and support will be provided to ensure a smooth transition, with the most senior staff in each area temporarily overseeing operations to maintain continuity in government programs and services.
