Zahra Relief Foundation has commenced its 2026 Ramadan feeding programme, with plans to provide Iftar meals to 10,000 vulnerable persons across selected communities in Nigeria during the holy month.
The initiative officially began on Thursday, the 2nd of Ramadan 1447AH (February 19, 2026), with the distribution of meals to hundreds of beneficiaries at Ruga Yar Kasuwa in Maraba, Abuja.
According to a statement issued by the Foundation’s Head of Corporate Communications, Abdulrahmam Muhammad, the feeding exercise will be extended to other areas and selected states nationwide as part of the organisation’s commitment to humanitarian support and social welfare.
The Foundation said this year’s target of 10,000 beneficiaries represents a significant increase from the 4,000 people reached during last year’s Ramadan programme.
It expressed appreciation to donors, partners and well-wishers whose financial and material contributions have made the initiative possible.
Zahra Relief Foundation noted that the Ramadan feeding programme is aimed at easing the burden on vulnerable households and promoting compassion and community support during the fasting period.
